Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books

The purpose of the Elementary Battle of the Books program is to encourage reading by all students at the elementary school level. Students are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and view points by prominent authors in the area of young adult literature.

Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades interested in being on the FES Battle of the Books team need to start reading the books on the list. The team will be chosen by the end of December and practices will begin on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in January. The competition will be held in March. For questions, contact Lisa Williams, FES Media Coordinator.
